Ashley Jones earned a Bachelor of Human Learning, K-8 in 1997 from the University of Tennessee at Martin. Her first job was as a teacher of Reading in the Kindergarten class and also the 1st grade at Maury County. She got married Brent Jones, her UT Martin affectionate husband, and moved into Thompsons Station in 1998. Bethesda Elementary is where she began teaching fourth grade. The years 1999 and 2000 saw Ashley continued to teach while she completed her Master in Teaching at Trevecca Nazarene University. However it was in 2000 that they received Baylor. Ashley has been spending the past 15 years focusing on the growth of children of her congregation and in the community, while also serving in various roles. Ashley was a leader for the Preschool Ministry and also in Student Ministry since over 13 years. Ashley's kids were educated at home for the 3 years she spent in her home. As they homeschooled, the children were able to attend a tutoring session at which Ashley was a teacher of History in Kindergarten and First Grade. While she enjoyed homeschooling and spending time with her children, God evidently showed her family the need to go back to school full-time. Brent and Ashley are the parents of five children. Silas Eliza Cruz and Cruz, all GCA students. Baylor is a GCA graduate plays baseball for the University of Tennessee Martin. Callan is also a GCA graduate attends Western Kentucky University. The family is very active. family that enjoys playing sports, fishing, and hunting together.
