Yael Stone, a native of Australia and living in New York City in 2013 was the character Lorna Mello as an inmate on Orange Is the New Black. Yael was awarded her NIDA diploma. Yael, despite her young age, has had the privilege of learning from one of Australia's best storytellers. Yael is a hugely professional career that has been a success in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael's new life in New York City began when the production received a prestigious review at Brooklyn Academy of Music. Yael was co-founder at The Cannery. The Cannery is located at Bushwick Brooklyn and operates from there to support the creative process, and to create new writing.
